matter和affair的區別是什麼

affair指事件。與event相近。指已經發生或必須去做的任何事情，複數可表示重大的事務，如a public affair公事、affairs of state國務。matter指事情。是普通用語，常指我們所寫到或談到的、必須考慮或處理的事。如：I decided to treat the whole matter as a great joke!我決定把整件事當做一個玩笑。
